Advocacy and
Teaching
Throughout my career I’ve learned that games can be a powerful tool both for self improvement and social justice.
As a public speaker I advocate for the games industry to be more accessible for disabled developers. I do this by giving talks on disability friendly project management, disability inclusive games design, and by hosting panels which allow other disabled developers to voice their opinions. I’m always open to new speaking opportunities. Please get in contact if you would like me to give a talk on any of these subjects.
I also do talks and workshops on games design. I have experience speaking as a lecturer for undergraduate Game Design students, as well as running game design workshops for 16- 18 year olds.
Below you can see a video essay I made which expands on a talk I gave at Develop: Brighton in 2024. The initial talk was called “How to Get Banned from the App Stores: An Intersectional Approach to Mobile Game Development”.
